The summer is heating up! But that doesn’t mean you have to feel the burn. If you’re someone who deals with heat intolerance consider these summer supplement hacks to help beat the heat:
Electrolytes such as magnesium and potassium can minimize heat intolerance and keep fluids balanced. Consider an electrolyte supplement like LMNT or foods high in these electrolytes i.e. bananas, spinach, pumpkin/chia seeds, dried apricots, black beans, cashews, almonds, and peanuts
Omega-3’s reduce inflammation throughout the body. Some studies show reduced inflammation from heat stress and low respiration rates. Consider: fatty fish i.e. salmon, tuna, sardines, walnuts, flax seeds and eggs
Vitamin C: in the form of ascorbic acid this has been shown to help the body respond well to heat stress and to support sweat glands
B12: a deficiency in B12 can cause your blood cells to become more sensitive to heat. Consider a methylated form for best absorption
