Hair PRP Injections

ABOUT PRP

What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical treatment for regeneration where concentrated plasma rich in growth factor and nutrients separated from your own blood are injected into parts of your scalp that need new hair growth.

How does it help with hair loss?

When PRP is used on the scalp, it triggers natural hair growth and helps to maintain hair thickness by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. PRP is one of the safest and most effective ways to reverse hair loss.

How do I know if I am a good candidate?

PRP works best for people experiencing hair loss, thinning, and mild baldness.

THE PRP PROCESS

With PRP, it's important that your platelet levels are high enough to ensure the best possible result, which is why we require every PRP patient to get bloodwork done before proceeding. See a detailed outline of the process below:

1 - Initial Consult (15 minutes)

  • Our nurse practitioner, Lexi, will determine if you qualify for PRP injections by asking you some questions and examining the areas of concern.

  • If she determines that you're a good candidate, you can get your blood drawn that same day or schedule a separate blood draw appointment.

2 - Blood Draw  (15 minutes)

  • Lexi will do a quick blood draw to check that your platelet levels are strong enough for PRP. If they are, you are ready to start your PRP injections!

  • If your platelet levels are low, Lexi will put together a plan to help you get your platelet levels up before proceeding.

3 - PRP Injections (45 minutes)

  • Lexi will perform a series of 4 PRP injections into areas of hair loss on the scalp spaced one month apart.
